He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Lamb and Jessie Parker Hood; his stepfather John Hood; and his siblings, Troy Hood, Vivian Lowrence, Ronald Hood, Mildred Burnette and Woody.
He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Torres Kimbrell (Jason) of Forest City and Emily Bridges (Zane) of Forest City; his siblings, Evelyn Searcy of Mill Spring and David Hood of Gastonia; his grandchildren, Morgan Bridges, Tyler Bridges, Elizabeth Bridges, Gabriel Torres, Sarah Torres, Alex Kimbrell, Jackson Kimbrell and Grayson Kimbrell; and his siblings' children, Penny Lowrance, Chasity Hood and David Hood, Jr..
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Harrelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1251 US Hwy 221a, Forest City, NC 28043). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
