With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Baxter Butler of Forest City, North Carolina, who passed away on August 4, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Baxter Rodney Butler and Elizabeth Edwards Butler; and his wife Charlotte Herron Butler. He is survived by: his sons, Brent Rodney Butler of Forest City and David Butler (Melanie) of Forest City; his siblings, Martha DeBrule of Palm Beach, FL and Daniel Butler of Forest City, NC.; his grandchildren, Brent Butler, Carsyn Truitt, Ryan Butler, Wesley Butler and Matthew Butler; and his great grandchildren, Charlotte Butler, Jack Truitt and Kate Truitt.
