He was predeceased by: his parents, George Willie Smith and Frances Bradley Smith; and his granddaughter Amber Smith. He is survived by: his wife Betty Smith; his sons, Dusty Smith (Kristie) of Haywood County, NC, Shannon Smith (Billie) of Ellenboro and Chad Smith (Donna) of Bostic; and his sister Wanda Miles of Rutherfordton. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
