We announce the death of George Steven Green (Forest City, North Carolina), who passed away on August 30, 2026, at the age of 82. George will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara McCarter Green; his parents, George Willie and Loveinia Tate Green; and his children, Denna Green, Shell Green and Leon Watson.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Parrish (Kenny), Rita Cooke (Scott), Duane Green (Sandra) and Jessica Blackwell; his siblings, Garland Green, Gene Green, David Green and Roxanne Green; and his pets, Belle and Rebel. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, many extended family members and friends.
