We are sad to announce that on January 27, 2023, at the age of 101, Grady Gilbert Franklin Sr. (Forest City, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Franklin and Eve Franklin of Duncan's Creek; and his siblings, Henry Franklin, Ruth Brooks, Calvin Franklin, Ruby Calton and Tommy Franklin.

He is survived by: his wife Helen Sain Franklin; his children, Grady Franklin Jr., Christine Franklin (Dale Green) and Mark Franklin (Cathy Franklin); his grandchildren, Marie Franklin Burris (Charles Burris) and Corey Green (Lisa Green); his children, Candace Franklin Vickery (Ray Vickery), Shannon Franklin Wilson (Seth Wilson) and Cody Green; and his great grandchildren, Andrea Burris, Chloe Burris, Anna Vickery, Peter Vickery, Ben Vickery, Catie Jo Vickery, Grace Vickery, Henry Green and Isabelle Green.
