She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Berry Smith and Elsie Johnson Smith; her husband James Allen; her siblings, Berry, Larry Smith and Nyoka Melton; and her nephew Dana Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Lowery of Rutherfordton; her grandchildren, Brandy Morris (Shane) of Forest City and Neil Lowery (Jenn) of Mooresboro; her great grandchildren, Destiny Greene of Forest City and Hayden Burns of Forest City; and her sister Ann Smith of Forest City. She is also survived by nephews and nieces.
