He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert "Clyde" Yelton and Gladys Elizabeth Yelton (Betty); and his brother Gilbert Yelton. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Godfrey Yelton; and his siblings, Diane, Larry Yelton (Santoya) and Cindy Henderson (Donny). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Padgett and King Chapel (227 E Main St, Forest City, NC 28043). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
