He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Vernon Harris and Virginia Helen Kuykendall Harris; his wife Joyce Marks Harris; and his siblings, Lewis, Bobby, Danny Harris, Madge Haughn, Betty Arrowood and Juanita Wall.
He is survived by: his stepsons, Hayward Marks (Kim) of Rehobeth, NC and Kevin Marks of Asheville; his sisters, Gloria Hudson of Forest City and Dawn Bradley of Shelby, NC; and his grandchildren, Luke Marks, Zachary Marks, Andrew Marks and Maggie Marks.
