He was predeceased by: his parents, James Kenneth Cole, Sr. and Mallie Sue Owens Cole; and his wife Joyce Wilhide Cole. He is survived by: his children, Kenny Cole of Forest City, Stephanie Higgins (John) of Forest City, Michael Cole (Dee) of Boiling Springs, SC, Jennifer Glover of Forest City, Parris Bristol of Forest City and Raven Cole (Binka Watkins) of Forest City; and his siblings, Judy Sims (Ernest), David Cole (Linda) of Forest City and Steven Cole of Forest City. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Harrelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1251 US Hwy 221a, Forest City, NC 28043).
