He is survived by: his children, James M. Phillips, III (Dana) of Hendersonville, Caroline P. Abbott (Chris) of Fuquay Varina, NC and Mary Phillips Tampa (Mike) of Cornelius, NC; his siblings, Eddie Phillips (Carol) of Radcliff, KY, Pat Phillips (Devena) of Alderson, WV, Barbara P. Bradley (Joe) of Alderson, WV and Nancy P. Feamster (Lee) of Charleston, WV; and his grandchildren, Breanne Cruikshank (Will), Grace Abbott, Kyle Scavo, Emily Phillips and Mason Scavo.
