It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Crowder of Forest City, North Carolina, who passed away on February 17, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Horne and Macie Hyder Horne; and her sisters, Guynell Green and Geraldine Horne (Gerry). She is survived by: her husband Hugh D. Crowder; her children, Brian Crowder (Tina), Tammy Edwards and Patty Trotter (Donald); her grandchildren, Jonathan Filer (Hope), Sierra and Elaina Crowder; her nephew Paul Campbell (Patti); and her siblings, Linda Roach (Leon), John Horne (Sarah), Howard Horne and Van Horne (Sondra). She is also survived by nieces and nephews, also grand nieces and nephews.
