She was predeceased by: her parents, James William Gibson and Beeda Beheler Gibson; her brother Dennis Gibson; and her grandson Greg Vanecek. She is survived by: her husband Col. Thomas N. Walker; her children, James Gregory Walker (Rosie) of Seguin and Wendy Walker Vanecek (Jim) of Forest City; her brothers, Darrell Gibson of Rutherfordton and Dwayne Gibson of Henrietta; and her grandchildren, Andy Walker, Charlie Walker, Alex Vanecek and Leah Foster.
The family respectfully request that memorials in her memory be made to the First United Methodist Church, 341 East Main Street, Forest City, North Carolina 28043.
