Martha Beard Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on January 25, 2026, at the age of 90, Martha Beard of Forest City, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lemuel Henson and Lena Belle Luckadoo Henson; and her husband Edward Beard. She is survived by: her children, Elaine Metcalf of Forest City and Dr. Eddie Beard (Larry Johnson) of Hickory, NC; her daughter-in-law Benita Beard; her sister Vicki Condrey (Jerry); her nephews, Eric and Neil Condrey; her granddaughters, Jennifer Smith (Bryan) and Holly Pruett (Adam); her nephews, Taylor Beard (Alexandra), Jordan Beard and Caleb Beard; and her great grandchildren, Madison Smith Alexander (Blake), Jackson Smith, Landon, Zoey Pruett and Henley Beard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of her great-grandson, Landon Pruett, to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 4600 Park Road, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28209 or to Baptist Children's Homes at 204 Idol St, Thomasville NC 27360.
