With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Martha Jean McFarland of Forest City, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 3, 2025 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, William McFarland and Cary McFarland; and her siblings, Falsom Wall, Estelle Wilkerson, Margaret Rollins, Peggy Harrill, W. T. McFarland and Johnny McFarland.
She is survived by: her sisters, Lottie June McAbee and Mary Jane Hinkle. She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Florence Baptist Church (201 S Broadway St, Forest City, NC 28043). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 at the Cool Springs Cemetery (382 W Main St, Forest City, NC 28043).
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Florence Baptist Church, 201 South Broadway Street, Forest City, North Carolina 28043.
