He was predeceased by: his father Fred Davis; his wife Deloris Parsons Davis; his son James Edward Davis; and his siblings, William Arthur Davis, Paul Davis, Wallace Davis, Helen Crowley and Janet Young.
He is survived by: his children, Georgia Lynn Cooper of Lawndale, Donna Gordon (Robert) of Forest City, Ronnie Davis (Sheila) of Pratt and Robert Eugene Davis of Rutherfordton; and his brother Lawrence Davis of West Virginia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
