With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ray Curtis of Forest City, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ray left this world on June 6, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bruce Curtis and Dovie Dixon Curtis; and his children, Rose Dale Curtis and Ricky Curtis. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Nichols Curtis; his children, Jimmy Curtis (Debra) of Forest City, Larry Curtis (Lisa) of Forest City, Randy Curtis (Kathy) of Forest City, Luann Curtis Talbert (Robert) of Spindale and Cindy Curtis Toms of Rutherfordton; his stepchildren, Jimmy Goodwin (Myra) of Ellenboro, Doug Goodwin (Susan) of Forest City and Charlene Goodwin Crook (Terry) of Gastonia; and his brother Edgar Curtis of Ellenboro. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery (397 Mt Pleasant Church Rd, Forest City, NC 28043).
