He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Monteith and Ethel Stewart Monteith; his wife Linda Monteith; and his siblings, Pat Caldwell, Gayle Flack, Kaye Briscoe, Steve Monteith and Eddie Gonzales.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Hodge (Curtis) of Forest City, J. B. Franklin of Forest City, Rodney Deal of Spindale, Wayne Brooks (Charlotte) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Ronnie Gonzales of Forest City. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
