It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Searcey Brooks of Forest City, North Carolina, who passed away on May 5, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vance Searcey and Estelle Moore Searcey; her husband Lewis Ray Brooks; and her siblings, Mary Buchanan and Bobby Searcey.
She is survived by: her children, Myra Brooks Hamrick (Randy) and Alan Brooks. She is also survived by three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Interment will be at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery, In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills; P O Box 336; Forest City, N C 28043.
