We announce the death of Sue Cooper of Forest City, North Carolina, who passed away on September 2, 2026, at the age of 94. Sue will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hoyle Dobbins and Ollie Davis Dobbins; her husband Charlie Cooper; and her children, Dennis Cooper and Glenda Cooper.
She is survived by: her daughter Darlene Hooper (Stanley) of Forest City; her grandchildren, Mitch Hooper of Charlotte, Mark Hooper of Rockingham, Jobe Hooper (Cathy) of Spindale, Matt Hooper (Angie) of Murrells Inlet, SC, Sam Hooper (Tia) of Forest City, Ryan Cooper (Gloria) of Charlotte, Kelly Edney of Forest City and Robby Edney (Beth) of Ellenboro; her great grandchildren, Hannah, Josh, Reese, Riley, Dottie and Jamison; and her great great grandchild Maverick Williams.
