He was predeceased by: his father William "Bill" Lee Smith; and his brother Thomas "Tom" Smith. He is survived by: his mother Dorris Smith; his brothers, Charles Smith (Teresa) of Forest City, Ricky Smith (Ann) of Cliffside and Tim Smith (Becky) of Forest City; his sister-in-law Debbie Smith of Forest City; and his siblings' children, Jessica Smith Winn (Steven Winn) of Forest City, Jeff Herman-Smith, Chad Smith, Brian Smith, Travis Smith (Tiffany), Christy Smith and Lindsey Smith. He is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews and two great-great nieces.
