It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wayne McKinney of Forest City, North Carolina, who passed away on April 28, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Hugh McKinney and Alda Amos McKinney. He is survived by: his children, Johnny McKinney (Kim) of Ellenboro and Lisa Carpenter (Jeff) of Forest City; his siblings, Paul McKinney (Maxine) of Forest City, Don McKinney (Michael) of Forest City, Harold McKinney of Morristown, Tennessee and Jean Mathis (Paul) of Rutherfordton; his grandchildren, Carlee Yelton (Hunter), Alex McKinney and Zakkary McKinney; and his close friends, Kathy Ashmore and Tammy Hudson.
