He was predeceased by: his mother Lottie Mae Carswell Mitchem; and his brothers, Keith Mitchem and Kenneth Mitchem. He is survived by: his father Earl C. Mitchem; his wife Sheila Capps Mitchem; his children, Shawna Mitchem Jenkins and Mark Mitchem (Tracie); his grandsons, Avery Jenkins, Alex Jenkins and Hayden Mitchem (Savannah); and his great grandchild Kinley Mitchem.
