It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen H. Covan (Fort Bragg, North Carolina), who passed away on October 21, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Covan and Glennie Covan; his son Harvey Covan; and his nephew Christopher Hemphill. He is survived by: his wife Anna; his children, Annie Osborne (Sterling), Cody Covan (Jessica), Angela Mignone (Paul) and Holly Solek (Jeff); his grandchildren, Jesse Holodak (Gerard), Nat Covan, Luke Sebastian and Jon Sebastian; his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Madeline and Juliet Holodak; his siblings, Edward Covan (Eleanor), Glenda Hemphill and Susan Stehling (William); Stephen Harvey Covan II (Antonio).
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, plant an apple tree in Steve's honor or take a friend fishing.
