He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Blackmon and Edna Anderson Blackmon; and his brother James Hubert Blackmon. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Barefoot Blackmon; his sons, Terry (Mari) and Robert (Kellie); his grandchildren, Holden, Joseph, Riley, Carson and Austin Blackmon; his great grandchildren, Noah, Wyatt and Kallen Blackmon; his stepgrandson Dakota Hayes; and his siblings, Thomas Blackmon and Josephine (Lynwood Lee). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Blackmans Grove Baptist Church (5980 Stricklands Crossroads Rd, Four Oaks, NC 27524).
