He was predeceased by: his father Hiram Smith Sr.; and his siblings, Nancy Byrd, Keith Smith and Kenneth Smith, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Donna Gilbert Smith; his children, Brent Smith (Michelle) and Leah S. Knight (Jamie); his granddaughter Elizabeth S. Wall (Luke); and his siblings, Sherry S. Johnson, James Smith (Hilda), Hiram Smith, Jr. (Wanda) and Stacy Smith (Sylvia). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
