He was predeceased by: his father William Edward "W. E." Boykin, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Sandra Parrish Savageau of Benson; his children, Karen Bryant of Four Oaks, Angel Bryant of Suffolk, VA and Tony Walker of Ohio; his brother Woody Rhodes (Angie) of Benson; his pet Bella; his aunt Alice Massengill of Four Oaks; and his friends, Woody, Angie Rhodes and Morris Ave. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
