He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Frankie Ray, Sr. and Patricia Ann Castleberry Ray; his brothers, Daryl Ray and Leroy Frankie Ray, Jr.; and his grandmother Mary Castleberry.

He is survived by: his brother Billy Ray; and his stepmother Lois Ray. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
