He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Lassiter and Carrie Lassiter; his former wife Margie Dunn Lassiter; and his brothers-in-law, Paul Dunn, Ervin Dunn and Roy Dunn.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Lassiter; his children, Tammy Adams (Gary) of Benson and Stan Lassiter (Carol) of Four Oaks; his stepsons, Kirk Hudson (Glenda) of Newton Grove and Michael Hudson; his brother Jimmy Lassiter (Vicki) of Princeton; his siblings-in-law, Ira Lee Dunn (Judy) of Princeton, Ernie Dunn of Tennessee, Carolyn Dunn of Wilmington and Jean Edwards (Wayne) of Four Oaks; his grandchildren, Blake Adams (Tiffany) of Benson, Tyler Adams (Sarah) of Four Oaks, Cory Adams, Morgan Lassiter (Luke), Taylor Hudson (Owen) and Lindsey Griffin (Jon); his great grandchildren, Blake Adams Jr., Hamilton Adams, Mariannah Adams, John William Adams, Eva Mae Adams, Jack Benton Adams, Rilyn Bradford, Kenslie Griffin and Ellie Brook Griffin; and his caregivers, Brenda Thornton, Deborah Faulkner, Maggie Buffey, Pam Thomas, Will Windsor and Michael Hudson. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
