It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Royie Massengill of Four Oaks, North Carolina, who passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Addie Massengill and Less Massengill of Four Oaks; and his former wife Reba Massengill. He is survived by: his wife Pauline Radford Massengill; his daughters, Debbie Daughtry (late Bobby), Pam Tripp (Danny Paul Tripp), Terry Dale (Wayne Dale) and Sherry Jackson (Mike Jackson); his grandchildren, Shelley Fussell (Jason), Blake Daughtry, Jennifer Williams (Warren), Johnathan Tripp (Kaylan), Ellen Maxey (Wade), Joshua Dale, Davis Dale (Kathy), Heather Maura (Tim) and Reid Jackson (Lizzie); and his great grandchildren, Hunter Ann, Parker Fussell, Wesley Williams, Hope, Fischer Maxey, Addie and Jack Maura.
The lying in state will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Lees Chapel A. C. Church (4154 NC-96, Four Oaks, NC 27524). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lee's Chapel Advent Christian Church (4154 NC-96, Four Oaks, NC 27524).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lee's Chapel Advent Christian Church Building Fund.
