He is survived by: his wife Ann Baker Russell; his daughters, Shirley Mae (Robert) and Marie Ann Wheeler (Ken); his stepdaughter Mary Ellen Raftery; and his grandchildren, Chrissy Haney (Trey), Jaselyn Williams, Whitney Reynolds (Chris), Erica Raftery (Stephanie), Anna Lockamy (Nick) and Andrew Wheeler (Autumn). He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson, and nieces and nephew.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Barbour's Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery.
