She was predeceased by: her parents, Bertha Ledford and Lawrence Clarke Moffitt; her husband Dover Shope; and her siblings, Nellie Stamey, Nina Sanders, Ida Thomas, Ethel Thomas, Hermie Dills, Ernest Moffitt, Ervin Moffitt, Roy Moffitt and Leonard Moffitt. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Grant Funeral Home (105 W Main St, Franklin, NC 28734). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at the Calendar Rush Cemetery.
