The memory of Betty Gunter of Franklin, North Carolina, who passed away on July 20, 2025 at the age of 84, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Rogers and Pauline Rogers of Franklin; her son Michael Howard; and her brother-in-law Dennis Bell. She is survived by: her husband Joseph "Joe" Gunter of Lawrenceville, GA; her daughters, Robyn Keener (Dan) and Rhonda Phillips (Michael); her grandchildren, John Howard, Jessica Houston (Josh), April Tippett (Shayne), Daniel Sanders (Jessica), Aaron Keener, Jake Phillips, Brady Phillips and Luke Phillips; and her siblings, Sue Roth (Earl), Louise Barday (Tommy), Debra Bell and Paul Rogers (Caroline). She is also survived by five great grandchildren; four stepchildren; twelve step grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pine Grove Baptist Church (7454 Highlands Rd, Franklin, NC 28734). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church.
