She was predeceased by : her parents, Ira Simmons Garrett, Sr. and Sarah Frances Woolard; and her siblings, Sandra Everett, Ira Garrett, Jr., Charles Garrett and Rivie Garrett.

She is survived by : her husband Wayne Bryant Everett; her children, Sarah Towe (Gregory) of Cleveland, TN and Seth Everett (April) of China Grove, NC; her grandchildren, Everett Towe, Caroline Towe and Silas Everett; and her sisters, Barbara Herring of Belhaven, NC and June Roberson of Washington, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
