He was predeceased by: his wife Melody Pendergrass; and his parents, Vester Pendergrass and Gaynell Pendergrass (Duvall). He is survived by: his son Scott S. Pendergrass (Sharolette) of Oronogo; his granddaughter Alison; his son Robert D. Pendergrass of Franklin; his grandchildren, Lauren and Hailey; his son Tim C. Pendergrass (Kandie) of Aurora; his grandchildren, Austin, Cameron, Brea-Anna and Sadie; his daughter Andrea Boyd of Seattle; his stepdaughter Darlene Asher (Brian) of Franklin; his stepgrandchild Chantelle Rondel; his stepdaughter Scarlett Moncus (Tracy) of Valley, Alabama.; his brothers, Roger Pendergrass of Franklin and Darrell Wilson; and his brother-in-law Cody Hodgin of Franklin. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
