He was predeceased by: his parents, John Avery and Lizzie Ritchie Callenback; his grandson Shiinon Callenback of Franklin; and his sisters, Suwanee, Marguerite and Eunice.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn McCoy Callenback; his children, Lisa Fitzpatrick of Franklin and Gregory Callenback of Tuckasegee, NC; his great grandchild Rose Callenback of Bryson City, NC; and his brother Vaughn Callenback. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Macon Funeral Home (261 Iotla St, Franklin, NC 28734). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
