With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darlene McAlister Mayhew of Franklin, North Carolina, who passed away on June 19, 2025 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Darlene McAlister Mayhew to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence McAlister and Margie McConnell McAlister; and her siblings, Carroll McAlister, Pat Fox and Shirley Cline.
She is survived by: her children, Eric Mayhew (Amy) of Franklin, NC and Lisa Ose of High Shoals, NC; her grandchildren, Jessie, Elizabeth, Cydney, Sam, Jacob and David; her great grandchild Coltley; her brother Leonard McAlister (Lori); and her friend Betsy. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the New Life-Foursquare Church (441 E Rhodes St, Lincolnton, NC 28092).
