He was predeceased by: his father Walter David Deats III. He is survived by: his mother Karen Kelly Higdon (Bob) of Franklin; his wife Sandra Sanderlin Deats; his sons, Chris Deats of Franklin, Johnathan Deats of Franklin, Tyler Deats of Franklin and Zach Deats; his sisters, Dori Coakley of Franklin, Carrie Manning (Jeremiah) of Franklin and Robin Little (Rich); and his stepdaughters, Heather Chavez Alvarez of Jarvisburg, NC, Heidi Lewis of Maple, NC, Leilani Sanderlin of Shawboro, NC and Myra Lewis of Camden, NC. He is also survived by several grandchildren, step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
