He was predeceased by : his parents, Orville Long and Inez Snook Long. He is survived by : his wife Martha Peele Long (Jean); his children, Donald M. Long (Donna) of Raeford, NC, Robin Connell (Steve) of Franklin, NC, Debra K. Howington (Dwayne) of Hutto, TX and Pamela Jean Horne (David) of Franklin, NC; and his brother Tim Long of Ft. Wayne, IN. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
