She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Eugene Potts and Alice Octavia Reese Potts; and her husband W. E. "Gene" Houston. She is survived by: her children, Steve Houston, Brenda Keener, Vickie Chambers and Boone Houston (Michele); and her sister Linda Calloway. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
