He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hurst and Frances Hurst; his wife Doris "Deanie" Hurst; his son Derrick Hurst; and his siblings, Betty Moore, Bill Hurst and Herb Hurst.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Rhonda Hurst; his brother Dennis Hurst; and his grandson Colby Hurst.
