He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clark and Myrtle Holden Shepherd; his wife Mary Nell Shepherd; and his son James "Jamie" Shepherd. He is survived by: his pet Snoopy; his children, Dianne Brooks (Raymond), Paula "Crystal" Nix (Owen), Shane Shepherd and Richard "Kent" Shepherd (Betsy); his siblings, Betty Jo Robinson, Shirley Emmons, Vaughn Shepherd, Lois Sims, Lonnie Shepherd (Becky) and Marvin Shepherd (Maryann); and his grandchildren, Angie, Lee, Philip, Andrew, Andrea, Hope, Gracie, Kayla, Kaleb, Matthew, Josh, Sam, Jonathan, Adam, MaryAnna, Sarah, Brent, Grant and Brandon. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
