He was predeceased by : his parents, Ray Houston and Mary "Ruby" Woods Houston; his siblings, Kenneth Roy Houston, Larry Ray Houston, Martha Lorraine Houston and Linda Marie Houston; and his grandchildren, Angel Grace Houston, Elyzzabeth Cheyenne Wilson, Mack Lee Wilson and Kathryn Louise Wilson.

He is survived by : his children, Mary Elizabeth Houston Wallace (Bobby) of Franklin, NC, Larry Isaac Houston of Franklin, NC and James Howard Ray Houston (Danielle) of Cache, OK; and his siblings, Richard Houston (Rose) of Sylva, NC, Edwin Houston (Dorothy) of Clayton, GA, Herman "Dink" Houston (Barbara) of Breeman, GA, Irene Longley of Jacksonville, FL and Barbara Brown of Ackworth, GA.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
