With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jean Marie Skinner Wright of Franklin, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 10, 2026 at the age of 81. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Skinner and Alleda Calhoun Skinner; and her husband William Wright. She is survived by: her children, William "Russ" Wright and Samantha Messer (Steven); her grandchildren, Alleda Wright, Dylan Cannon, John Ashton Gordon and Byron Gordon; her sister Alice McConnaughey; and her niece Christina Hughes.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers to give to Bryant-Grant Funeral Home, 105 W. West Main St. Franklin, NC 28734. Any extra monies after costs will be donated to No Wrong Door, Jean's charity of choice.
