It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joanna Morris (Franklin, North Carolina), who passed away on November 19, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Thomas and Mary Ruth Shaffer (Henderson); her husband Mora Mason Julliard; her former husband Albert Morris; her brothers, Eugene Shaffer, Vernon Shaffer and Phillip Shaffer; her sisters-in-law, Jackie Shaffer, Verna Shaffer, Mary Julliard Hogan, Bonnie Julliard and Christine Julliard; her granddaughter Laura Ann Lay; and her son-in-law Terry Lay.

She is survived by: her children, Mariann Julliard Huston (Donald), Alan Thomas Julliard (Linda) and Joy Ellen Lay; her grandsons, Barry Lay (Kati), Walker Julliard (Lauren) and Hayden Julliard (Kristi); her great grandchildren, Max Julliard and Lily Julliard; and her sister-in-law Doris Shaffer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials and donations in Joanna's name be made to Friends of the Library in Franklin, Four Seasons Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
