She was predeceased by : her parents, Odell Johnson and Villie Hyatt Johnson; and her brother-in-law Alan Pannell. She is survived by : her husband Kenneth Pannell; her children, David Pannell (Cindy), Sherry Mims and Nathan Pannell; her grandchild Maddison Pannell; her siblings, Catrinia Norton (Ron), Alvin Johnson (Sue) of Franklin, R. V and Edward Johnson (Judy) of Sylva; and her siblings-in-law, Donna Cochran (Harold) and Randy Pannell. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Watauga Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
