Lovelda Langston Harper Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lovelda Langston Harper in Franklin, North Carolina, born in Bushnell, Florida, who passed away on December 21, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jim; her parents, Montre Kirby and Mildred Smith Langston; and her sister Marigail Smoak. She is survived by: her children, Kimberly Harper Coyle, Kerri Lyn Harper (Warren) and James Hannis Harper III (Julie); her grandchildren, Dr. Elizabeth Farrell Helbling, Catherine Holland, Nicholas Helbling, Hannis Harper and Emily Harper; and her brother Joe Langston (Dawn). She is also survived by her loving children and grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your favorite food assistance program, honoring Lovelda's spirit of generosity and compassion.
