She was predeceased by: her husband Buford Smith; and her sons, Carl and Randy Smith of Franklin, NC.. She is survived by: her niece Linda Clark (Steve) of Altamonte Springs, FL.; Tom Smith (Jessica), Tim Smith (Kate) and Kimberly Smith. She is also survived by three grandchildren, six great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Macon Funeral Home (261 Iotla St, Franklin, NC 28734). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions may be made in her name to – Macon County Animals Services and to the Grandview Memory Care unit in Franklin, NC.
