Though Phyllis may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Phyllis touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Humane Society or the Cherokee Children's Home in Cherokee, NC, honoring Phyllis's lifelong love of dogs and her pride in her cultural heritage.
