He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil William Smith and Edna Ethel Bumgarner Smith; and his siblings, Mary Norris (Johnny), Lydia Bryson (Don) and Bill.
He is survived by: his wife Louetta; his children, Jenny, Jason (Sherry) and Justin; his sister Malina Fowler (Phil); and his grandchildren, Hope and Grant. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
