He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Hawley and Ruth Harmon Hawley. He is survived by: his significant other Connie Coker; his children, Matthew Woodrow Hawley and Marcy Marie Schmelzer (Gary); his grandchildren, Ariel Hawley (Tommy Hall), Britini Hawley, Christian Hawley, Paige Hawley, Alexis Hawley and Trevor Hawley; and his great grandchild Miller Hawley Hall. He is also survived by five sisters: and two brothers.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Macon Funeral Home (261 Iotla St, Franklin, NC 28734). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
